The Lapdock is a laptop dock which once connected, effectively converts your smartphone into a laptop. It joins the family as an heir to the Atrix 4G’s Lapdock accessory. It is an Android based solution.
The world first became familiar with the Lapdock technology with the Motorola’s product called Motorola Atrix. However, it did not gain desired acceptance because of the high price factor. After that, a few more Lapdock products were also released by Celio REDFLY, which would support the Windows based mobile phones.

Wide Screen
The Lapdock has a giant 10.1 inch screen with high resolution allowing the users to comfortably work with all their Android applications such as watching videos, sharing photographs, etc.
Big Keyboard with Touch Pad
The Lapdock is equipped with a large keyboard with ergonomic design and Android keys, which makes working with lengthy activities of Quick Office, Google Docs, Adobe Flash, and PC-like File Manager, easier for the user.
The sensitive touch pad allows controlling and scrolling the screen through cursor as well as through finger.
Desktop Class Browser
The Lapdock’s desktop kind of tabbed browsing capability is highly user friendly. It allows access to number windows and more content at the same time. One can browse through Firefox and other browsers using Wi-Fi or the internet data plan of the smartphone.
Light-Weighted Multi-Tasker
The light weighted 2.2lbs (less than 1Kg) Lapdock is an easily portable device. It can be carried in brief cases or in pockets for use in classrooms and offices, in cafes or in homes.
The Lapdock 100 efficiently allows the user to respond to an incoming call, while simultaneously surf web, listen to music, view photographs or explore any other application.

Compatibility with Others
In addition to Motorola Atrix line, Motorola Photon 4G and Motorola Droid Bionic, this new product of Motorola is compatible with almost all the webtop phones of Motorola. The Lapdock will also work well with all the future smartphones by Motorola.
While no other specific details were released by the authorities of Motorola, as per Engadget, the Motorola Lapdock 100 would be hitting the markets mostly by October 21. The Motorola Smartphone will be available with Sprint, AT&T and Verizon.
In order to encourage the popularity of the Lapdock 100, Sprint is offering reward money of USD 10 to its employees who successfully undertake and complete the training on the Motorola Lapdock 100 “Sprint Rewards Me” quiz.
There has been no indications regarding the prices of the Lapdock so far; however it is being speculated that the prices of the Lapdock would obviously be cheaper than the Atrix 4G’s axed Lapdock, which is currently selling for USD 299.99 at AT&T. However, the real story behind the laptop dock will reveal only soon after the product releases.
